The Octopus App is the mobile application that combines the functions of Octopus card and Octopus Wallet (formerly O! ePay). The new home screen now displays these two separately for lesser confusion.
Separating the functions allows you to find and use the service you need quickly and easily. For example, if you want to pay for public transport, you can find and pay for the ticket using the Octopus card, while if you need to pay by an electronic debit card, you can pay by the Wallet.
So you can pay for your public transport or retail purchases with ease. And, you can pay by the Wallet, using any card (even if it’s not an Octopus card), while keeping your card safe.
The app also offers a range of services for managing your daily expenses. You can view the remaining amount in your wallet, transfer money to payee’s wallet or other wallets, and shop online with ease.
You can sign up for the Faster Payment System (FPS) to shop online with ease.
